Out of curiosity, I watched Lipstick Jungle today. Then I realized that I watched the unaired pilot, so I checked out what hit television screens. (Ah, I love a night when I can drink sherry and watch questionable television without feeling too guilty for taking a break!) The wanna-be-bad Buffy boy Owen got canned, and all of a sudden Julian Sands wasn’t the uncaring husband, but rather, the boss.
Yet no blog post I found that mentioned the recasting said anything about the fact that Edward Herrmann was the boss first! What in the heck happened to him? He’s worth more than a total disregard for his absence! You can’t put Ed in the corner!
He’s vampire Max for cripes sake! He starred in Harvey on the theatrical stage!
Wherever you are Mr. Herrmann, I just want you to know that yes, you were missed!
